Hui Peng is currently aProfessor/Chief Physician. She is the Chief of NephrologyDivision, Director of the Department of Internal Medicine at the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University. She studied at Northwestern University as a postdoctoral fellow for two years from 2005 to 2007 and studied at Baylor College of Medicine as a senior visiting scholar from 2014 to 2015.

She is the Vice Chairman of Guangdong Medical Association Nephrology Branch, a member of the Standing Committee of the Nephrology Branch of the Guangdong Medical Doctor Association, Chairman of the Expert Committee on Nephrology Drugs of Guangdong Pharmaceutical Association, and served in the 8th and 9th Youth Committee of the Chinese Medical Association Nephrology Branch. She is one of the leading talents in scientific and technological innovation of Guangdong Special Support Program, the outstanding young medical talent in Guangdong Province. She won the 7th “Yangcheng Good Doctor” in 2021.

She has more than 50 scientific publications on peritoneal dialysis, CKD, and diabetic nephropathy, in journals including Sci Transl Med, Nat Commun, J Am Soc Nephrol, J Cachexia Sarcopenia Muscle, et al.
