Dr. Connie Rhee, MD, MSc is a practicing nephrologist, physician-scientist, and tenured Associate Professor of Medicine and Public Health at the University of California Irvine. She currently serves as the Department of Medicine’s Vice-Chair of Clinical Research, as well as the Division of Nephrology, Hypertension, and Kidney Transplantation’s Director of Clinical and Translational Research, Director of Dialysis Quality Improvement, Associate Director of Outpatient Hemodialysis, and Acting Associate Chief. Dr. Rhee’s research has been centered on metabolic/nutritional and endocrine derangements in kidney disease, as well as the conservative management of advanced chronic kidney disease, and she has been supported by multiple NIH, National Kidney Foundation, and American Thyroid Association grants through the years.
