Biff Franklin Palmer, MD, is a tenured Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, Texas.  He has authored more than 270 articles and chapters and served on the nephrology subspecialty board for the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is designated a Distinguished Teaching Professor by the University.  He received the Regents Outstanding Teaching award by the University of Texas and in 2020 was awarded the Piper Professorship.  He is a member of the Southwestern Academy of Teachers and The University of Texas Kenneth I. Shine Academy of Health Science Education.
