Claudia D'Alessandro graduated with honors in Biological Sciences in February 1994 and she began working in the Department of Neuroscience, University of Pisa, studying muscle metabolism and mechanisms of muscle damage in patients with neuromuscular disorders. She graduated with honors in Dietetics in April 2003. She got a Master in Management for Health Professions in July 2005, a Master in Clinical and Applied Nutrition in June 2008, a Master in Nutrition and Dietetics in Nephrology in November 2011 and a degree in Technical Health Professions in December 2011.
-2001: appointment of Expert in Clinical Nutrition.
-2002 - 2005: research fellow at the Department of Internal Medicine, University of Pisa.
-since 1997 she works at the Department of Clinical and Experimental Medicine, University of Pisa, with clinical, research and teaching tasks.
Scientific research is mainly carried out in the field of clinical nutrition applied in particular in nephrology, neurology and sports. She participated in the writing of 86 full-length publications and in the production of books, brochures and information material to spread the principles of healthy nutrition in the general population and in subjects suffering from specific diseases, in particular chronic kidney disease.
Since 2000-2001 she has held seminars in various University courses and assisted students in the preparation of thesis in Medicine and Surgery, Dietetics, Nursing, Obstretics and Sport Science.
He currently teaches Applied Dietary Techniques in the Master in Nutrition and Dietetics in Nephrology, in the Degree in Dietetics at the University of Pisa.
