Angela is the current President of International Society of Renal Nutrition and Metabolism, Council member of International Society of Peritoneal Dialysis, Deputy Chair of International Society of Nephrology (ISN) North & East Asia Regional Board and ISN Education Working Group. Previous Executive Committee member of KDIGO, Committee Member of ISN-Advancing Clinical Trial, Executive Committee Member of SONG. She has served as a workgroup member of international clinical practice guidelines including ISPD Prescribing High Quality Goal-Directed PD Guidelines 2020, ISPD-GREX Practice Recommendations on Physical Activity and Exercise in PD 2021, ISPD Adult Cardiovascular and Metabolic Guidelines 2015 (Chair) and United States KDOQI Nutrition Guidelines 2020 and KDIGO anemia guidelines in CKD 2022.

Angela serves on the editorial board of JASN, Kidney Int, CJASN, NDT (Theme Editor), Nephron Clin Practice (Associate Editor), etc. She has received ISPD John Maher Award 2006 and National Kidney Foundation Joel D. Kopple Award 2018. She has published >200 papers, 15 book chapters and delivered >150 invited lectures. She is recognized for her research in cardiovascular, metabolic and nutrition complications in CKD. She works in clinical trials.
