Dr. Wai Ming Lai is Consultant of the Paediatric Nephrology Center in Hong Kong Children’s Hospital. He is the present President of the Hong Kong Paediatric Nephrology Society and the Treasurer of the Asian Pediatric Nephrology Association. He graduated from the University of Hong Kong in 1985. He has pursued training in paediatric nephrology in the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, London in 1992 and the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, Canada in 1996. He is dedicated to the development of paediatric nephrology service in Hong Kong. He has established the paediatric peritoneal dialysis program, chronic haemodialysis program and kidney transplantation program in the Paediatric Nephrology Center at Princess Margaret Hospital.

He has thirty years’ experience in paediatric nephrology with special interest in chronic kidney disease, peritoneal dialysis, chronic haemodialysis and kidney transplantation in children.
